Supporting Wisconsin’s vision professionals with resources and community.
The Wisconsin Chapter of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (WAER) is a professional membership organization dedicated to promoting excellence in vision services. As part of AER, we advocate for high-quality standards, evidence-based practices, and ongoing professional development for individuals working in vision education and rehabilitation. Our mission is to support and empower professionals in their efforts to enhance the lives of those with vision loss.
WAER provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and continuing education through events like the annual Collaborative Vision Conference. We also recognize outstanding professionals in the field and support aspiring vision professionals through scholarships. By fostering a strong, informed community, WAER ensures that individuals with visual impairments receive the highest quality education and rehabilitation services in Wisconsin.
